On October 4, Command Staff members from the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office, joined by Sheriff Bill Prummell, Jr., Chief Deputy Mike Casarella, Major James Kenville, Executive Director of Administration Andres H Rodriguez, and Wharton-Smith staff and subcontractors, celebrated the topping out of the new Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office District 4 Headquarters and K9 Training Facility. Guests in attendance received custom-designed T-shirts, enjoyed a delicious catered barbecue lunch from The Smoke n Pit in North Fort Myers, and entered a raffle to win prizes ranging from televisions to Milwaukee tools.

“The project has really started to take shape,” said Senior Project Manager Chuck Hardwick. “It was great to celebrate so much hard work that has gone into this project thus far. We have an amazing team on the project, and we couldn’t ask for better subcontractor partners.”

The almost 21,000 SF facility will house the District 4 staff and serve as the training and K9 headquarters for the Sheriff’s Office. The project is scheduled to be completed in June 2025.
