Stephanie Farmer serves as Project Executive for Wharton-Smith’s North Florida Commercial Business Unit. With more than 25 years of industry experience and a career spanning from her roots at UCF in 1999 to present day projects in North Florida, Stephanie joined Wharton-Smith in 2016, bringing her expertise in K-12 and higher education, parks and recreation, public safety, and design-build projects to our Wharton Smith team.
Stephanie provides full project oversight, putting the client’s needs first, from initial design and preconstruction, throughout the life cycle of the project, to full completion. Stephanie is a proponent of the collaborative process with an entire team of clients, designers, onsite management and subcontractors, alike, to ensure projects stay on track, on budget, and on schedule. Her dynamic role involves staffing, project planning, goal-setting, and providing executive guidance to tackle challenges and deliver exceptional results. She thrives on engaging in problem-solving and believes that strong methodology and work ethic are key to overcoming obstacles in the construction industry.
Stephanie holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Central Florida and is certified as a Designated Design-Build Professional.
While Stephanie is proud to be a UCF Knight, being the 5th generation of a native Gainesville family means that, during football season and for sports in general, she is also proud to be an “honorary” University of Florida Gator. Stephanie lives with her husband and family including her youngest daughter and four-legged son, a Great Dane that keeps them all busy. With one of her three daughters graduating from UCF and a second from the University of Florida, she feels her claim to being both a Knight and a Gator is now fully substantiated.
