This ambitious 90,000-square-foot adaptive reuse project transformed the former Salisbury Mall into a vibrant hub featuring a 1,000-seat conference center and modern county offices.

“We look forward to seeing the positive impact this adaptive reuse project will have on the local community,” said Area Manager Scott Whelchel. “It’s always exciting to see an older building take on a new life and renew a community’s outlook and perspective for future generations to come.”

Rowan County Board of Commissioners Chairman Greg Edds highlighted the project’s significance: “This is a great occasion, not just for the center itself, but for all of us who believe in the power of connection, innovation, and opportunity.”
