On May 3, Wharton-Smith team members joined the City of Casselberry, project partners, and community members to celebrate the grand opening of Wheel Park East with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. See photos.

Wheel Park East is a vibrant public space designed for wheeled recreation, including biking, skating, and scootering. The park features a ‘Tiny Town’ bike safety training area for the littlest of riders, a skills and pump track for those more advanced, and an ADA-accessible playground with adaptive equipment for inclusive play.

“We’re proud to have played a part in bringing this vision to life,” said Bert Fonseca, Director of Operations. “Wheel Park is now a new landmark in Casselberry. It’s a place for wheels to spin, friendships to grow, and memories to be made.”

Wheel Park East is the first phase of a two-part project. Wheel Park West, a state-of-the-art skate park located just across the street, is currently under construction and expected to open later this summer.
