The Wharton-Smith Pensacola office has established a $25,000 endowment to support the Tyler Chase Norwood Construction Management Program at the University of West Florida. The “Wharton-Smith Operational Excellence Endowment” will fund operational support, enhancing the experience for students in the program.

“It means a great deal to us at Wharton-Smith to give back to the community that supports us, and especially to do so in a way that directly invests in the future of our industry,” said Area Manager AJ Brown. “By endowing the Construction Management program at the University of West Florida, we’re proud to help enhance the student experience and ensure that aspiring builders and project leaders have access to the tools, mentorship, and opportunities to prepare them for real-world success. This is more than just a contribution, it’s a commitment to the people and potential of our region.”

Of the eight team members pictured in the photo, six are UWF alumni, and one is a current student in the construction management program. Wharton-Smith is a firm believer that when we support local talent, we help create a stronger pipeline of professionals who are passionate, prepared, and ready to lead. These team members bring a deep understanding of the area, a strong educational foundation, and a true connection to the communities we serve.
