Director of Operations
André Boagni was named Director of Operations in July 2023, after serving as Area Manager for the Gulf Coast Region’s Houston, Texas office from July of 2019. André’s responsibilities include the overall performance of Water Operations in Texas. He is also responsible for operations oversight, business development, community relations, and the quality of services provided by our team in our newest branch location in Houston. His 15 plus years of combined construction experience has our newest branch location on a fast growth path. André joined Wharton-Smith in 2006 as a Field Engineer. He was promoted to Assistant Project Manager in 2011, Project Manager in 2013, and Senior Project Manager in 2015. He also worked overseas for four years in the Wharton-Smith International Division. Before joining Wharton-Smith, André worked for Industrial Specialty Contractors in Baton Rouge as a project coordinator and at Stantec as an engineering intern. In addition to his professional experience, André holds a master’s degree in Business Administration and a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management from Louisiana State University. He is certified as a Project Management Professional and holds General and Utility Contractor licenses. In his time away from the office, André is an avid college football fan and enjoys playing golf and soccer. André lives in Houston, Texas, with his wife Xiomara, their two beautiful children, and two dogs.
