Alfond Sports Center, Rollins College

The Harold & Ted Alfond Sports Center more than doubles the previous athletic space at Rollins College. Wharton-Smith provided General Contractor services on this 78,000- square-foot addition and renovation to the existing Enyart Alumni Field House. The new construction included an auxiliary multipurpose gym, workout room, training facility, movement studio, offices, classrooms and an expanded main entry lobby. The fully renovated Warden Performance Arena consists of 21,000 square feet of space and serves as the centerpiece for the sports center and the “home court” for Rollins sports, recreation and all-campus events. The facility also includes the McKean Gymnasium for intramurals and recreational play (as well as banquets and concerts), athletic office suite, locker rooms, Daryl’s Fitness Center, two classrooms, and a Hall of Fame hospitality area.
