Wharton-Smith has provided Design-Build services on the three-story, 24,000 s.f. City Hall for the City of Maitland. This project features three levels of office space, seven conference rooms, a bullet-resistant utility billing transaction window assembly, high-end lobbies, state-of-the-art council chambers, and porch area. Work included the demolition of the existing city hall, new parking lot paving, site clearing, underground utilities, concrete and brick hardscape (brick was reused from the old city hall), landscape and irrigation, and the protection and preservation of existing oak trees. Maitland City Hall achieved LEED certification for the USGBC. The project was completed in August 2012.
