Cypress Creek HS Gymnasium & Athletic Support Facilities

Wharton-Smith provided preconstruction and construction management services for a multi-phased, 396,000-square-foot comprehensive needs project at Cypress Creek High School. As part of this effort, the 53,887-square-foot gymnasium was renovated providing refurbished floors, new lighting and daylighting, new HVAC spaces and equipment, an expanded locker room, and updated concessions, weight room and athletic training spaces.

All work was performed on an active, occupied environment accounting for over 3,300 high school students and staff each day. Extensive planning was conducted to coordinate the construction activities with on-going school activities and the athletic schedule to provide a safe environment for the students and staff while maintaining an aggressive construction schedule.
