Davenport High School

Wharton-Smith provided Construction Management services for Polk County Public Schools on the new Davenport High School project located in Davenport, Florida. The new 345,000 SF school is a state-of-the-art prototype that includes connected classroom buildings; administration offices; an 800-person capacity auditorium; a media center; an EHPA-rated gymnasium; a cafeteria; a culinary arts kitchen/classroom; band, chorus, and fine arts classrooms; a central courtyard with elevated walkways; sports fields with stadium amenities for football, baseball, and softball; as well as all associated site work. The project site is 57-acres in northwest Polk County.
