The project consists of the construction of 12 new pump stations the largest of which is capable of pumping 23.3 MGD. The program stations include new electrical buildings, generators, a wash-down facilities, flowmeter vaults, generators, and odor control. This project also includes the rehabilitation of the existing 26 MGD Pump Station 1 which involves replacing the pumps, piping, electrical system, instrumentation and controls. The Caisson Method was utilized for the construction of the wet wells in order to accelerate the schedule.
