Wharton-Smith is currently providing Construction Management at Risk (CMAR) services for the renovation and improvements of the administration and classroom/media center buildings located in Charlotte, NC.
The construction consists of the interior renovation and upgrade of approximately 31,000 SF of administrative offices, classroom reconfiguration and modernization to contain ten additional classroom spaces, and ADA restroom upgrades to accommodate the additional growth of the campus. To accomplish the increase in classroom space within the existing building footprint, the single level, high overhead, media center space is being converted into a two story classroom space.
Wharton-Smith provided LIDAR scanning as an additional service used to confirm the existing conditions of the buildings to assist the architect with “as-built” documentation, and provide the most accurate information for their design.
