Wharton-Smith provided General Contracting services to expand the existing J. Robert Dean Water Treatment Plant (WTP) for the Florida Keys Aqueduct Authority. This 6 MGD WTP plant includes a 10,500 s.f. process and control building, (4) 1.5 MGD RO systems, 500 HP feed pumps, pressure vessels, interconnection piping, bulk chemical storage facility, pre-treatment system including chemical feed & cartridge filtration, post treatment systems, transfer pump station with clearwell, well field including four production 125 HP wells, yard piping all electrical, and instrumentation & controls work. Our team completed this project in October of 2009.
