Wharton-Smith provided construction management services for Orange County Public Schools on the Kelly Park School project in Apopka, Florida. The new K-8 school campus includes a 141,672 square foot main classroom building and a 17,390 square foot gymnasium building, youth & tot lot playgrounds, track and field events, an outdoor basketball court, parent and bus drop-off loops, and aluminum walkway canopies.
The new three-story classroom building houses all administration, a media center, a multi-purpose dining/stage with kitchen, classrooms, collaborative spaces, and all associated support spaces needed for the school campus.
The gymnasium building includes a full basketball court with associated telescoping bleachers, associated locker room spaces, and several support spaces.
