The team of Wharton-Smith, Zyscovich Architects, Klima Weeks Civil Engineering, SGM Engineering, and BBM Structural Engineering provided Design-Build services to Lake County Schools on the new 160,722 SF K-8 school located in the Four Corners area of Lake County. The new E-STEAM school, which was the first of its kind in Florida, focused on environmental and outdoor studies coupled with STEAM programs in a 21st-century learning environment.

The school is three stories and includes administration, a cafeteria, classrooms, a gymnasium, multiple mini-media centers based on age groups, collaboration spaces for teachers and students, outdoor athletic spaces, and an environmental courtyard. Its compact design is focused on enhancing the safety and security of the students and faculty. This campus accommodates 800 students in Pre-K through 5th grade and 400 students in 6th through 8th grade with the opportunity to expand for future growth.
