Wharton-Smith provided Construction Management at Risk services for the construction of a 105,000 SF elementary school on the east side of the property of the current Pine Crest Elementary School in Sanford, Florida. Construction consisted of one two-story building with a capacity of approximately 900 students. Existing structures that were built in 1955 were demolished except for Buildings #15, #16, and #18, which were remodeled. Site improvements included new vehicular circulations, parking, retention areas, covered walkways, playground areas, playfields, and play structures.
