Wharton-Smith provided Construction Management services to Orange County Public Schools on the Horizon High School project in the rapidly growing Horizon West community. The 350,000 square foot campus was constructed on a 68-acre greenfield site and includes an auditorium, gymnasium, media center, cafeteria, administration, and three multi-story classroom buildings. Site amenities include a football stadium with an associated field house, track, baseball, softball, and soccer fields, basketball and tennis courts, and parking and drop-off loops. The high school accommodates nearly 3,000 students. A bus depot with associated fueling stations was also constructed on site.
