Tampa Bay Rays Spring Training Renovations

Wharton-Smith provided construction management at risk (CMAR) services for the Charlotte County Sports Park – Tampa Bay Rays Spring Training Renovations project. Approximately 4,800 s.f. was added to an existing building along with the renovation of existing locker rooms, training rooms, and laundry room to create a Major League Fitness Center that totals approximately 10,000 s.f. Additionally, the existing batting cages of approximately 12,000 s.f. were converted from an open-air structure to an enclosed air-conditioned space, creating a player development area. The project was completed in February of 2020.
