On October 6, Wharton-Smith team members came together with representatives from Orange Technical College to celebrate the topping out of the OTC West Campus. See pictures here. The milestone celebration included a tasty lunch from Bubbalou’s Bodacious Bar-b-que, t-shirts for the entire team, and a huge raffle, including some coveted prizes like yeti coolers, drones, and TVs. Thanks to all of our wonderful sponsors who donated raffle prizes!
Wharton Smith is constructing a replacement Orange Technical College West Campus for Orange County Public Schools. The project includes the construction of a new 5-building campus to house those programs. The new West Campus will include instructional spaces for programs like a Hair Salon, Esthetics Labs, Nail Salon, Cosmetology Labs, Barbering Labs, Electrical Lab, Construction and Carpentry Lab, HVAC Lab, and Welding Lab. It will also include several standard classrooms to offer other courses as well as an Event Space for large gatherings.
The new campus is set to open in 2024.
