July 9, 2015 – Sanford, Florida – Watch the “Walls Up, Floors Down” video. It shows the progress being made on two Wharton-Smith projects at the University of Central Florida (UCF).
The Wayne Densch Center for Student-Athlete Leadership will serve as the headquarters for UCF student-athletes’ personal, professional and academic development. It will provide operations space to serve more than 500 student-athletes including a multi-purpose classroom, which will hold 200 students, a computer lab, tutoring and mentoring rooms, study space and conference and resource rooms.
The East Side Club (ESC) will be a premium experience in Bright House Networks Stadium and will become one of the signatures of the UCF game-day experience. It is a 10,000-square-foot, Florida-themed social area and lounge located between the 30-yard lines. It will feature chair-back stadium seating, as well as an open-air sun deck to enjoy the game. Refreshments, televisions, private restrooms and other amenities will also be available.
