Wharton-Smith Selected as Construction Manager for Seminole State College’s Building L Renovations

Sanford, FL – January 24, 2017 – Wharton-Smith, Inc. was recently selected as Construction Manager for the renovation of Building L 1^st and 2^nd Floors at Seminole State College. The project will modernize approximately 73,079 square feet of space of the 1970’s-era building including classrooms, computer labs, tutoring spaces, libraries, offices, conference rooms, MEP equipment areas, circulation paths, and support spaces. Infrastructure and site improvements will also be included as part of the project. Wharton-Smith renovated the building’s 3^rd floor in 2011 making it the College’s first LEED® Gold building on campus.

Construction will begin in October 2017 and is expected to be complete by Fall 2018.
