Sanford, FL – August 16, 2017 – President and CEO of Wharton-Smith recently announced the promotion of three key leadership team members to Executive Vice President – Darin Crafton, Tim Smith and Pat Hewitt. As Executive Vice President, each will be responsible for the strategic growth and oversight of operations within the company.
Darin Crafton, Executive Vice President of Wharton-Smith’s Commercial Division presides over all commercial markets and is responsible for strategic growth of Commercial operations in Orlando, as well as regional offices in Tampa, Gulfport and Charlotte. Darin has more than 25 years of experience in the construction industry and has a Bachelor in Construction degree from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois.
Tim Smith, Executive Vice President, is responsible for the strategic growth of the company’s Charlotte regional office as well as corporate responsibilities including support for both Commercial and Water/Wastewater operations, heavy equipment, quality control, production, and management information systems. Tim has more than 30 years of professional experience, is a Professional Engineer, a Florida State Registered General Contractor, and is licensed in Plumbing and Pollutant Storage Systems. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Auburn University, and a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering from the University of Central Florida.
Pat Hewitt, Executive Vice President, provides oversight and is responsible for the strategic growth of Water/Wastewater operations in Orlando, as well as regional offices in Tampa, Jupiter and Baton Rouge. Pat has more than 30 years of experience in the water/wastewater construction market. He has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering degree from the University of Florida and is a Florida State Registered General and Mechanical Contractor.
Together, they will help Wharton-Smith Construction Group achieve its financial goals by empowering and inspiring team members, identifying new business opportunities, and building strong relationships with clients and the communities we serve. They will also serve as members of the Corporate Executive Committee, which is responsible for development of overall company strategy and implementation of the strategic and succession plans.
