On May 22, more than 75 team members from various trades joined Wharton-Smith’s Central Florida Commercial Division to celebrate the topping out of the Roth Athletic Center at the University of Central Florida. See more pictures.
To kick off the event, everyone lined up for a hearty lunch from 4 Rivers Smokehouse. Next, Todd Fatzinger, Project Superintendent, gave a few words of encouragement for the great job everyone was doing, “We really appreciate you! Keep up the hard work, teamwork, and safety protocols.”
The project team raffled more than $2,000 in prizes, including Milwaukee drills, hand tools, and Home Depot gift cards.
The $7.5 million project is a build-out of a two-story, 37,000-square-foot building, which will include new office spaces, locker rooms, lounges, and an exercise room to be used by all UCF athletic departments.
