Carlin Dunlop, Assistant Project Manager – Central Florida Water, passed the Professional Engineer (PE) test. This is a significant accomplishment that requires both years of experience and extensive study to successfully complete the exam.

The eight-hour PE exam tests your ability to practice competently in a particular engineering discipline. It is designed for engineers who have gained at least four years’ post-college work experience in their chosen discipline.

Carlin took the Environmental PE exam, which includes a large percentage of water/wastewater problems. “I enjoyed the in-depth plant and pipeline design problems that I came across during the exam. It was interesting to work problems that I could relate to various projects I have worked on,” Carlin said.

Only a licensed engineer may prepare, sign, seal, and submit engineering plans and drawings to a public authority for approval or seal engineering work for public and private clients. Carlin joins a group of several PEs at Wharton-Smith who have achieved this coveted license.

Congratulations to Carlin!
