Wharton-Smith Construction Group announces the hire of Jim Wornick

Orlando, FL – Wharton-Smith Construction Group is pleased to welcome Jim Wornick to the Wharton-Smith team as Business Development Executive – Southwest Florida Water Division, reporting to Todd O’Donnell, Director of Business Development.

Mr. Wornick brings over 26 years of Water and Wastewater experience spanning all aspects of the industry from business development, engineering, construction, and industrial coatings. In his new role, Mr. Wornick will lead Wharton-Smith’s continued efforts to expand their focus on Alternate Delivery Methods in the Water/Wastewater industry by establishing new Construction Management at Risk (CMAR) and Design-Build (DB) project opportunities.

Before joining Wharton-Smith, Mr. Wornick worked with Crom, LLC for over 26 years, serving as a Vice President and Area Manager in Gainesville, FL. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park.

Mr. Wornick lives in Lithia, Florida with his wife of 27 years Tina, 2 boys, and a new Yellow Labrador Retriever.
