The Wharton-Smith, Atlantic Sapphire, and Hazen teams recently celebrated the Topping Out of the new Chiller Facility building.

The festivity was not the typical Topping Out program. Following lunch, the group was divided into smaller teams for a pumpkin carving contest which brought out everyone’s creativity and was a great team-building event with our client. The carving yielded a ghost, mummy, skeleton, witch, zombie, and a salmon in honor of Atlantic Sapphire.

The Chiller Facility building is constructed of insulated tilt wall panels and a concrete double tee roofing system. It will house eight 3000-ton chillers, providing cool water to Phase 1 and Phase 2 RAS Facilities in the future.

“It is important to celebrate the small wins,” said Jeff Wiley, Project Executive. “This project has presented many challenges for us, and our team continues to navigate them successfully. ‘This is what makes us the Construction Group of Choice! Thanks to Project Assistant Karen Dean and Administrative Assistant Maya Cox for organizing the event. All enjoyed it.”
