On Nov. 2, Central Florida Commercial team members, subcontractors, vendors, and representatives from The Villages Commercial Construction celebrated the topping out of The Villages Charter High School South Campus. Edith Heard, Craft Foreman, opened the event by singing the national anthem. See more pictures and video highlights.

“This project is a testament that our industry is all about relationships,” Project Executive Larry Sease said. “Relationships with the design team brought Wharton-Smith the opportunity to be selected for the project. Relationships with the subcontractors are helping navigate the supply chain issues while completing the project. And relationships with the owner are bringing us additional work as our commercial department looks to grow roots in the North Central Florida market.”

As more than 650 attendees gathered in front of the school’s annex gymnasium, they received a t-shirt emblazoned with the project motto, “Building the Future.” They also received raffle tickets for a chance to win prizes.

In an interview with The Villages Daily Sun, VHS Principal Rob Grant said, “It’s a beautiful facility. I know it will be top-notch and state-of-the-art, so I feel privileged to be a part of it. It’s been an eye-opener on the magnitude of what constructing a building like this takes.”
