On April 29, the City of Tampa held its 8th Annual Black History Month Golf Tournament. Wharton-Smith supported the event along with Garney Construction, the other half of our Tippin Water Treatment Facility team.
Wharton-Smith and Garney didn’t stop there. The team went above and beyond by raising extra funds in tips, which were then generously donated to the City of Tampa Black History Committee scholarship fund.
The tournament participants were blessed with clear skies and mild weather, with only a few sprinkles to add to the fun. Brenda Folsom, Regional Office Manager, described the day as a great success, and all who attended had a wonderful time.
