On August 4, employees from the Wharton-Smith Palm Beach Gardens office came together with Teresa Dabrowski and the team at Red Apple Supply in support of the Education Foundation of Palm Beach County Schools.

Team members stuffed a whopping 561 backpacks with school supplies for the students at West Riviera Elementary School. Wharton-Smith was also the prime financial sponsor for the much-needed supplies. The team’s efforts helped to ensure the students have the essential supplies they need to start the school year while also relieving some financial stress that the teachers experience each year.

“This is a Title 1 school and is dear to our hearts as we are contracted to rebuild their campus for them soon,” said Project Executive Paul Fulks. “With so many eager volunteers, our group accomplished the entire task in just one afternoon.”

Vice President of Operations Greg Williams said, “The next generation is our future, and we are showing how much we care about them and our teachers, donating our time and resources so they can experience the joy and excitement of learning.”

A few days later, on August 7, a group of team members went to the school to help present the backpacks to the Principal and Teachers. See the video here.

Kudos to everyone who stepped up to help!
