Wharton-Smith’s Central Florida Commercial Division pulled out all the stops for their annual party, hosted at the vibrant Tuffy’s Music Box in Sanford, Florida, on September 13. Attendees embraced the night’s casino-themed festivities with flair and style. Everyone enjoyed tacos from Moes Southwest Grill, and several employees also stepped up to the mic to show off their musical talents with a little karaoke. See event pictures here.
Tim Smith, President and CEO; Tom Widener, Vice President of Operations; and Mike Morton, General Superintendent, thanked everyone for all their hard work over the past year and also gave kudos to a few of the project teams who either just wrapped up or are nearing the end of their projects, including the Villages High School, the Seminole Justice Center Annex, Aurelia Cole K-8, and a few others.
Tom also gave a shoutout to Corporate Services, saying, “Thanks also goes to all of our Corporate Service team members who attended, including the Precon Team who worked tirelessly all year to make it another great successful year!”
Darin Crafton, Chief Operating Officer for the Commercial Division, could not be there in person. Darin said he has had “nothing but gratitude to every member of the Commercial Division team for their unwavering commitment and exceptional efforts once again this year.”
Participants tried their hand at Blackjack, Roulette, and Craps. Sebastian Gomez, Preconstruction Services Engineer, walked away with the grand prize 65-inch TV after earning the highest winnings of the night. Other prizes included a drill set, fire pit, Nespresso machine, tool bag, raft, Apple Airpods, gift cards, and more.
Everyone in attendance also went home with their very own custom Wharton-Smith deck of cards.
