Wharton-Smith is stepping up to help support the Arts here in Central Florida. The Wharton-Smith Foundation recently committed $30,000 to support the New Smyrna Beach-based Atlantic Center for the Arts.

ACA is a nonprofit interdisciplinary artists’ community and arts education facility promoting artistic excellence. ACA also provides art programs and artistry workshops for local middle and high school students in Volusia County Public Schools.

“We are excited to be a part of enriching the artistic lives of local students through New Smyrna Beach-based Atlantic Center for the Arts’ programs,” said Tim Smith, President and CEO. “Volusia County is a place we call home. Whether it be through art, dance, theater, song, or the written word, creativity is essential to excel in education. As a premier school builder in the South, we are happy to support creativity as an essential building block of a comprehensive education.”
