On November 16, the Wharton-Smith Tampa Commercial team, alongside the staff of Woodlands Middle School in North Port, coordinated a Bike Build with On Bikes, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing bikes for at-risk children.
The team, led by Caryn Huff, brought together members of the North Port, Fort Myers, and Tampa offices, police officers from the North Port Police Department, and other community volunteers to assemble 50 bicycles for at-risk students at the school.
“This event is such an honor. Our kids are so excited,” Woodlands Middle School Principal Mark Grossenbacher said. “I can think of one family in particular who recently lost everything in a house fire with no means to replace the bikes they lost; they were so excited to hear they would benefit from this event.”
Thank you to all who donated their time and effort and stepped up to support at-risk students at one of our Sarasota County Schools.
