On July 3, Wharton-Smith, the City of Zephyrhills, Kimley-Horn, and subcontractors BRW Contracting, Hybrid Contracting, Harmonics Electrical, and Capital T Pools joined to celebrate the topping out of Hercules Park. See photos.
Attendees were treated to a delicious catered lunch from Plaza Mexico, a local Mexican restaurant in Zephyrhills, and had a chance to win incredible raffle prizes.
Hercules Park is the first community park built in Zephyrhills in 40 years. The new 11-acre project includes a splash pad equipped with trees shooting water into tipping buckets and barrels, playground equipment, covered pavilions, and a continuous concrete sidewalk around the trail.
“Wharton-Smith is so fortunate to have a great group of subcontractors to work with,” said Project Manager Max Otero. “This project is one of the first major parks to be built in the city in many years and will be the crown jewel for years to come.”
The project is expected to be completed in December 2024.
