The week of September 2, team members from our Jacksonville Business Units gave back to their community, sponsoring, participating in, and donating to two extraordinary events: the St. Augustine Tunnel to Towers 5K and the DBIA Clay Shoot, which supported local college students.
The Tunnel to Towers Foundation honors American heroes by providing mortgage-free homes to Gold Star and fallen first responder families with young children, along with building specially adapted smart homes for catastrophically injured veterans and first responders. This year, the Jacksonville office raised $135 and donated $1000 toward the organization, providing a team of six employees to participate in the 5K.
Brian and Tim were also on hand at the 3rd Annual DBIA Clay Shoot, supporting University of North Florida and University of Florida Construction Management students. Giving back to the next generation is a key pillar to the success of Wharton-Smith, and our team was excited to participate.
