On June 3, Wharton-Smith joined Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office personnel, county commissioners, special guest K-9 Mila, and more to cut the ribbon on the new Charlotte County District 4 Sheriff’s Office. See photos.
The new 20,000 SF facility is part of a training complex with a firing range, obstacle course, and K-9 training area. It houses office space for District 4 personnel, training operations, K-9 support space, and kennel operations. In addition, the building includes a fitness center, a public lobby, and a secure reception area.
“We’re really excited about this new facility, and Wharton-Smith did just an amazing job on its construction,” said CCSO Chief Deputy Michael Casarella. “Wharton-Smith has been an amazing partner to us over the years.”
“This great project has been a long time coming for the citizens of Charlotte County and the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office,” said Project Executive Chuck Hardwick. “A lot of teamwork and a tremendous amount of thoughtful collaboration have culminated in a beautiful facility for CCSO that will stand the test of time. Wharton-Smith is proud and humbled that we continue to be a part of building great community projects such as the District 4 Training and K9 facility and many others across this great county.”
Congratulations to the entire project team!
