On August 21, Wharton-Smith joined the School District of Osceola County to celebrate and appreciate our partners and subcontractors at the AAA High School topping out. See photos.

The campus is set to open in 2026 and will feature nine permanent buildings spanning 346,000 SF. The school will eventually accommodate over 2500 students, meeting the growing needs of eastern Osceola County.

Attendees at the topping out received custom Wharton-Smith t-shirts, enjoyed a delicious catered lunch, and participated in a generous raffle where thousands of dollars’ worth of gifts were handed out. Special thanks to our subcontractors, trade partners, vendors, and suppliers for their generous donations.

“Topping-out celebrations are a great opportunity to bring the whole team together and show our appreciation for everyone’s hard work,” said Senior Project Manager Logan Sleight. “Especially our subcontractors and trade workers who work tirelessly to ensure the project is successful. We are very excited to open this new state-of-the-art facility next year that will serve as a home for the growing Osceola County community, students, families, and faculty. This achievement is truly the result of exceptional teamwork, commitment, and dedication of all involved.”
