On September 3, Wharton-Smith, alongside Schenkel Shultz and the City of Palm Coast, celebrated with our partners and subcontractors during the topping out of Fire Station #22, commemorated with the placement of the final steel beam. See photos.
Guests at the event signed the steel beam that was lifted into place, signifying a significant milestone in the construction of the Fire Station.
“Every call we respond to is about protecting lives and property,” said Fire Chief Kyle Berryhill. “These new stations will give our firefighters the resources they need to do their job more effectively – and that means a safer Palm Coast for everyone. You are building the building that’s going to protect the protectors.”
“Placing the final beam is a powerful moment,” said Senior Project Engineer Max Stephens. “It represents our shared commitment to safety, quality, and community. We are proud to work alongside the City and the Fire Department to build this station for the people of Palm Coast.”
